ICT INTEGRATION
ALLAH C. BAUTISTA
The Department of Education (DepEd) is continuing to adjust to the new standard in teaching and learning. At the same time, it is working toward the development of technology breakthroughs for educators and the active participation of other stakeholders. The Department of Education's purpose continues to be its primary motivator. Teachers were required to adjust to foreign pedagogical concepts and instructional strategies, for which they would not have necessarily received training. Additionally, people who belong to the most disadvantaged populations, who are confronted with obstacles in accessing digital educational resources or who lack the determination and active involvement to engage in self-education, were especially at danger of falling behind.
Almost every country has benefited from information and communication technology (ICT) by using Internet platforms. Students have the chance to obtain instructional content whenever it is most convenient for them by using technology that facilitates hybrid learning.
In addition to this, they could take part in organized learning programs that they can finish at their own pace, and they might also take part in live classes that are taught by their teachers via the use of virtual meeting platforms. When it comes to the production of educational materials, the dissemination of instructions, and the operation of programs, the term "distance learning" refers to the use of the internet and other key technologies. As a result, using information and communication technology (ICT) in educational settings boosts student engagement and makes it easier for them to remember the content. This is due to the fact that technology makes it possible to use a wide variety of methods, which in turn increases the level of engagement and entertainment value of teaching the same subjects via a variety of ways.
