LANGUAGE DYNAMIC
The words "language dynamic" are often heard from the teaching of Filipino subject teachers - it does not disappear but can change. It changes with different styles that fit the times and expands due to the ability of young people to keep up with the changes happening around them. Youth is considered to be the modern hope of language so that it is not considered lying down as if it were dead because according to the National Artist for Literature, Virgilio S. Almario "A language that does not change can be considered a dead language". A dead language with no identity and no appreciation for the heritage left by the ancestors. Ancestors create a bridge for common understanding and strong walls of communication. Understanding and communication that are increasingly developed by young people.
Young people have a wide contribution to the changing form of language in the modern century because of their playful minds that have been accompanied by the influence of modern technology. In fact, the word "jejemon" which was presented as the word of the year by UP Diksyunaryong Filipino in the year 2010, is the result of the playful minds of young people. It originated from the use of the word "hehehe" on the internet by netizens. Reversals of words such as Petmalu, Lodi and skalam are also words that have become fashionable among young people, but our ancestors have always had such reversals, shortening and slanging of words. This is proof that during the Spanish era, the ancient Filipinos were able to create slang words. The word compadre in Spanish is the origin of the word kumpare and is shortened to the word 'pre'. The word tambay shortened for Istambay comes from the Americans and their word Stand by.
But on the one hand, young people can also be a source of language destruction when they don't take care of it properly and use it in the wrong context that can lead to the wrong concept. Context and concepts are important ingredients when it comes to communication. Moreover, there is even more confusion among the listeners when it is not used on the right person or audience. The use of these changes is gentle and is attributed to the right person who respects the culture of a society so that there is no misinterpretation of every emerging word.
