DEVELOPMENT OF ONE'S PROFESSIONAL SELF
MARIA NELIZA F. ESPIRITU
Learning opportunities are the most basic definition of professional development. Individuals have access to a wide range of these chances under professional development in order to learn and develop. There are numerous ways to learn, which is what constitutes professional development. Professional development can be obtained through a variety of leaning opportunities, including conferences that teach new techniques and skills, formal academic writing, and internal or external training programs. A person's technical talents can be improved through professional development, which is a constant process that necessitates adjusting to new techniques and methodologies. Learning is a lifelong process. Even after earning a bachelor's degree, we continue to learn new things. Our education doesn't finish when we graduate from college, there is still more to learn. Many of us believed that receiving our degree would mark the conclusion of our struggles and the start of a happy life. However, we are mistaken. Our journey into the wider world has just begun. Therefore, even though we already have a stable employment, we still need to strengthen our abilities in order to equip ourselves for the competitive world. We must develop professionally in light of this. The use of fresh knowledge and abilities to advance one's professional goals and existing position is known as professional growth. You are preparing yourself to take increased responsibility by developing your talents and being proactive. After entering the workforce, it involves acquiring new skills through career training and ongoing education. To increase your knowledge in your chosen subject, it may involve enrolling in seminars or workshops, going to professional or industry conferences, or receiving a credential. After earning our bachelor's degrees, teachers must pursue their master's degrees. Despite the fact that it is difficult given our current position, we must pursue it if we want to be prepared for the rapidly changing world. Because admit it or not being a teacher is not easy, sometimes it is hard for us to balance work and studies. But if there's a will, there's a way. If we believe we will achieved it. Furthermore, we can attend various seminars or workshops, whether they are school-based, district-based, division-based, regional, national, or even international, to improve our academic abilities and to nurture our skills so that we will be better prepared for all the changes and challenges we may face while pursuing our goal in our chosen career. We won't flinch because we already have the talents we need, rather, we'll take the risk to pursue our goals and succeed to the highest level possible.
