Designer marks 25th year with Nepo Center LTO

-

ANGELES CITY— Award-winning fashion designer Marlon Tuazon has renewed his partnership with developer JDN Realty Group.

Tuazon, who has dressed numerous Alist celebrities, renewed his tenancy at Nepo Center for another 25 years on February 16, 2024.

Nepo Center has been the home of Tuazon’s couture shop for 25 years.

“Staying at Nepo for 25 years, you know it’s a dream for me kasi I’ve studied at Holy Family tapos dumadaan kami every day tapos I get to see Nepo so sabi ko, ‘Dito ako magkaka-shop.’ And paggising ko the other day, [naisip ko], ‘25 years na pala ako dito.’So, it’s a dream come true for me,” Tuazon said.

JDN Realty Chief Executive Officer Rick N. Wilkerson said Tuazon is not a tenant but a partner.

“Hindi na tenant ‘yan, matagal na masyado so, partner na ‘yan,” he said.

“This partnership is not also just about the tenancy and the leasing relationship. It’s about collaboration so earlier, we were talking about collaborating together on different events for the Nepo Center during the year and we expect that our partners like Marlon will take an active role in those activities and ev en t s,”

Wilkerson added.

JDN Commercial Spaces Manager Rocky Torres shared that Tuazon is a second generation tenant at Nepo Center.

“Tuazon’s mother Adelaida was one of our first tenant’s here in 1972,” Torres said.

For 2024, Tuazon is set to hold a fashion show this summer which will be sponsored by JDN and Rockwell at Nepo Cent er.

The incident involved the Toyota Fortuner and a Hyundai Eon reportedly driven by a senior citizen.

The report said that the Eon was traveling on the road when the driver of the Fortuner tried to overtake but was later forced to suddenly stop and allegedly repeatedly reversed into the Eon.

The driver of the SUV reportedly drove away from the scene of the incident, authorities sai d.

The LTO is now determining if the driver has violated Section 27 of Republic Act 4136 (Improper Person to Operate a Motor Vehicle).

The incident may lead to the cancellation of registration of the Toyota Fortuner if the driver was found guilty of the charge, the transportation office stated.

"This case should serve as a cautionary tale to motorists that nothing good comes out of being angry while driving,” Mendoza said.
