How important is monitoring and evaluation in educatíon? Since we are living in a fastpaced world, change is really inevitable. Monitoring and evaluation in education are crucial for assessing the effectiveness of educational programs, identifying areas for improvement, and ensuring accountability. Schools, the education system, need to cope up with this change in order to do what it's supposed to do. It may not be easy but it's not impossible with the help of proper monitoring and evaluation. With the technology present now, it is so much easy to gather information. information may show the progress of a school. By monitoring and evaluation, questions will be raised and assumptions may also be tested. This may help any particular school in preparing a plan. Moreover, mistakes will appear which later on may create an opportunity for improvement and learning. Good reporting systems and record keeping are an integral part of conducting effective and proper monitoring and evaluation. With this, school's resources will be monitored if they are well spent or actual teaching can be evaluated if it meets the standards. As a result. the performance of the teachers and students will be enhanced. Also, the school management can plan properly on areas to balance future assessment opportunities and 'attain targets. Additionaly, monitoring and evaluation contribute to evidence-based policy making and continuous improvement in education system.
