LEARNING TRANSFORMATION: USING ICT TO ITS FULL POTENTIAL IN THE CLASSROOM
REA F. MANALANG
DepEd uses ICT in teaching: 1. ICT tools like computers, interactive whiteboards, projectors, and educational software can all be used to improve instruction in the classroom. Instructors can enhance the interactiveness and engagement of their lessons by incorporating multimedia resources, videos, and interactive activities. 2. Information Access: Teachers and students can access an extensive range of information and resources thanks to ICT. In order to gather information and materials for their lessons, teachers can access databases, online libraries, and educational websites via the internet. ICT can be used by students to gather information for projects and assignments as well as to conduct research. 3. Collaboration and Communication: Teachers, students, and parents can work together more easily when they have access to ICT. Teachers can share assignments and resources, interact with students and parents, and give feedback by using online tools and platforms. Students can communicate with teachers and peers, share documents, and work together on group projects using online platforms. 4. Differentiated Instruction: With the use of ICT, teachers can offer instruction that is tailored to each student's unique needs. Teachers can make use of online resources and educational software that provide adaptive assessments, tailored instruction based on students' skills and learning preferences, and personalized learning experiences. 5. Assessment and feedback: Information and communication technologies (ICTs) can be employed for both. Students' learning progress can be evaluated via digital portfolios, interactive assessments, and online quizzes. Through online platforms, teachers can give students timely feedback that will help them identify areas for improvement and guide their learning process. 6. Professional Development: Teachers can improve their knowledge and abilities in a variety of teaching and technology integration topics by taking advantage of online courses, webinars, and educational forums. ICT is still being used in education, but it's considered a useful tool for improving instruction and student experiences.
