THE CRUCIAL ROLE OF PARENTAL INVOLVEMENT IN A CHILD'S SCHOOL PERFORMANCE
AILEEN A. MANLUTAC
Academic achievement is fundamentally reliant on parental involvement in a child's education. Numerous studies and decades of educational research have repeatedly shown that active parental involvement improves a child's academic achievement. Children are more likely to succeed academically, acquire crucial life skills, and mature into well-rounded adults when parents actively participate in their offspring's education.
Parental participation promotes a robust support structure for the child in the first place. It promotes a favorable attitude toward learning and sends the idea that education is vital. Parents who participate in their children's education by attending parent-teacher conferences, assisting with homework, and talking about their experiences in school build a working relationship with teachers. Through this partnership, teachers and parents are guaranteed to be working together to establish a setting where a child's intellectual and emotional requirements are satisfied. Children are more likely to be inspired to do well in school if they observe their parents and instructors collaborating. Additionally, it instills a feeling of responsibility and discipline in kids by demonstrating the value of education and the dedication of parents to their academic success. In the end, parental participation is crucial to a child's success because it creates the foundation for a lifetime of learning and accomplishment.
