SHELTER YOUR SHELTER

- An Article About A Global Social Problem, Biodiversity EDELWINA PAULE DUE

To witness the biodiversity of our planet rapidly drift down clearly mirrors the inhumane acts of humans around the world. To this, we, humans who are solely responsible for it, should make a move to put a stop to this dilemma or otherwise in the end, we will also be the ones suffering the consequences of our irresponsible actions.

Biodiversity, a shortened term for biological diversity, is one of the significant roles playing in our lives for it provides the necessities like food, water, and shelter which are requisite for the health of humans. As of this year, Earth's population has peaked at more than

8.1 billion already, which may simply cause overexploitation of resources and unsustainable consumption patterns and with this drastically increasing number, there is no doubt that we are really cutting the longevity line of our ecosystems. In accordance with the cliche, "You should be the one making a move to fix your mess", this obviously states that we should be the one making ways to halt the neglecting of our biodiversity for humans are the main reason why these natural dilemmas occur. People should understand that the Earth's biodiversity shall not be thrown away just like how they throw their garbage on the streets; we should be able to seek solutions on how we could help and convince others to solve this huge problem. Indeed, starting with a little step is still considered a milestone for a better change of our biodiversity.

In spite of all, educating the people around us regarding how to prevent the loss of our biodiversity is simply better than watching those cruel ones ruin our ecosystems. In conclusion, nurturing our planet instead of constantly putting harsh cruelty to it is just outright ethical and right for both us and our beloved homeland.
