PARTNERSHIPS TOWARDS EDUCATION AGENDA
The 'epartment of (ducation 'ep(d and the &uban 0inistry of (ducation recently held a meetinJ on a possible cooperation on rural farminJ and technical sNills education.
The aJency said it is looNinJ forZard to strenJtheninJ cooperation Zith the &uban 0inistry of (ducation to further develop the country¶s education aJenda especially on alternative methods of learninJ, rural farminJ schools, and promotinJ ZorN readiness throuJh technical sNills education.
$ccordinJ to the 'ep(d, both the 3hilippines and &uba are implementinJ a proJram that alloZs more youth from the farminJ sector to access basic education.
'urinJ the meetinJ, &uban officials shared &uba¶s e[perience in inteJratinJ local communities in their education system. Their current system focuses on the Jeneral formation of students at the primary level and the technical and professional formation at the secondary level.
They also shared the &uban Jovernment¶s use of diJital education, especially in response to the impact of the &ovid pandemic on learninJ.
'ep(d, on the other hand, shared the developments under the 0$T$T$* curriculum in producinJ competent and Mob ready students.
