'espite this adversity, 6ta. 0aria +iJh 6chool, as an institution, constantly fulfills its mission of promotinJ quality education Zith a health friendly learninJ environment, and instillinJ moral values to its students. %ut since Ze are still amidst pandemic, the school have ensured the Zellness and preparedness of teachers and students for the upcominJ school year. $s part of the preparation made, the school orJanized an online traininJ on 3sycho )rist $id Zhich Zas facilitated by 0r. &harles $llen *. &anlas, a senior hiJh school teacher and a school nurse.
2n the fourth day of -une, , teachinJ and non teachinJ personnel have underJone Zith the virtual 3sycholoJi cal )irst $id 3)$ Zith 0r. $llhen *. &anlas, 51 Zho is also a faculty member of our institution. This has of Jreat help for the teachers and students in preparinJ them for the openinJ of classes. This activity helped teachers to reduce the distress level caused by emerJencies, alloZ for the e[pression of difficult feelinJs and assist students in developinJ copinJ strateJies and constructive actions to deal Zith fear and an[iety.
The conduct of 3sycho )irst $id traininJ Zas successful for it had helped teachers relieve themselves upon listeninJ and participatinJ. They have decided and promised to face Zhatever challenJes may come throuJh Jiven copinJ strateJies and stress manaJement strateJies. ,n this case, Ze can say that teachers are noZ ready for the openinJ of classes and help students to strenJthen themselves upon facinJ further stresses and challenJes.
