TRADITIONAL VS MODERN TEACHER

- ROBBY L. MORALES

As the word continues to change and technology advances, has our traditional teacher really left behind? Has ma’am and sir faded to provide quality education? In a world that is almost entirely modern gadgets and methods, what about ma’am and sir whose way of teaching is still traditional? Are they effective? Our teachers shaped us with their perseverance and teaching skills. Patience that they have invested so that each one is not left behind. So that every student has the courage to face the challenging world. Many young minds have become successful because of the chalk and blackboard way of teaching that our teachers use in their teaching. The dedication and heart of our teachers in their teaching is truly priceless to make sure that all of their students taking the right path. Although modern tools are very useful and necessary today, there is still no denying that the real key in learning is the talent and perseverance of our teachers in teaching.

The relationship between students and teachers is also differs between two approaches. Traditional teaching is mostly focused on teaching discipline. Being authoritative in the class is what they do so the students are disciplined and responsible for their actions. Reciprocally, modern teachers are the ones who facilitate, guide students to explore and discover using technology. This approach fosters a more collaborative and inclusive learning environment, where students are actively engaged in their education and encouraged to take ownership of their learning journey.
