Comprehend­ing text became complicate­d because of a lack of interest in what was being read and a lack of Yocabular\ that affected the interpreta­tion of the message of the text 7he words¶ meanings are hard for the readers to understand because the\ are too formal 7he lack of connection to the text serYes as a barrier to effectiYe comprehens­ion

5eading engagement nowada\s is getting lower because of the different priorities of the learners 7he\ spend most of their time using social media rather than reading 7he lack of interest in reading is the greatest reason wh\ the reading comprehens­ion skills of the learners are not full\ deYeloped 7he teachers must strategi]e including the selection of reading material that the learners can relate to .eeping in mind the Tuotation ³/ife reflects in the literature and literature reflects in the liYes of the readers´ ,f the learners can relate to what the\ are reading then it will be eas\ for them to understand what the\ are reading

9ocabular\ deYelopmen­t is important to engage in reading appropriat­el\ 6ometimes it is hard to understand especiall\ if the text has Margon and unfamiliar words 7he interYenti­on for this is that the teacher must teach the learners how to use context cues which means that eYen though one word is unfamiliar the\ must anal\]e the content of the sentence to understand its meaning $nother is that with the help of a dictionar\ the learners can find the correspond­ing definition of the words that the\ do not know the meaning of

7he lack of connection to the text can affect the understand­ing of it 7here are actuall\ strategies including choosing appropriat­e text that the learners can relate to $nother is that ask about the literar\ genre that the learners can relate to and find literar\ peace that is related to it ,n that wa\ their interest and attention to reading is in the fullest

$s the learner continue to practice reading the\ will encounter different words and their Yocabulari­es graduall\ deYelop :hen the\ encounter the same words then the\ alread\ know the definition of it and it will be eas\ for them to comprehend it

7he primar\ goal is to make the learners proficient in reading :ith the proper implemen tation of reading in the classroom the learners will deYelop not onl\ their skills in reading fast but also to understand deepl\ what the\ are reading 5eading is one of the foundation­s that help learners to be eTuipped with knowledge and skills that the\ can use not onl\ academical­l\ but also in their future profession

(Yen though struggles arise the teachers can offer their hands to lift up the learners to be productiYe and to be effectiYe readers :ith the proper implementa­tion of different inter Yentions it guarantees the Tualit\ of the learners in terms of their reading skills $ deeper understand­ing of the text can help to deYelop the critical thinking skills of the learners and can help in problem solYing skills of the learners $ctuall\ there are knowledge and lessons from the text that can be used in the dail\ liYing of the learners
