Online modality was a vital alternative delivery mechanism during the pandemic. But it has proven its worth in post-pandemic to further ensure safety of teachers, learners, and school personnel, cater learners who can not personally go to school due to health reasons and in conflict-stricken area. However, it is also a challenge to us teachers and our administrators alike. Below are the challenges of online learning. Own expenses in providing gadgets/equipment Monitoring of delivery of

instruction

Proficiency of skill execution of teachers and students

Unstable internet connection Highly reliant on trust

Authenticity of outputs Meeting targets

Monitoring of performance tasks Accomplishing MELCs

Unsure if students are doing skills properly Authentic teaching, learning and

assessment

Limited space at home Provision of feedback and technical assistance Camera angle and focus Coaching and mentoring

Checking of outputs one by one Skill development and enhancement

Short attention span of students Not technology savvy

There are plenty of reasons why a certain modality can fail or succeed. But as a teacher, we must focus on the reason why we do these things. And this reason is for our learners. No challenge is too big with a heart that has the courage to keep the light of education aflame.

Lack of/No facilities/equipment at home
