THE REPLACEMENT OF WORK IMMERSION WITH BUSINESS ENTERPRISE SIMULATION: EXPERIENCING REALITY THROUGH HANDS-ON ACTIVITY
Education has always been about fostering hopes and supporting dreams. That being said, as the nation's population grows, so does its educational infrastructure. Its purpose is to guarantee that a pupil receives the highest caliber of instruction that best suits his growing needs and enables him to turn his abilities into opportunities. According to Enderun Colleges in their article " Promoting Global Competence: Advantages of K–12 for the Philippines, " this idea was inspired by this thought not too long ago and has since become a reality that has changed everyone's lives.
Six (6) years of primary school and four (4) years of high school comprised primary education. However, as made clear on the official website of The Gazette, the official publication of the Republic of the Philippines, K–12 is a curriculum that includes 12 years of primary education in addition to kindergarten. There were two more years of high school, known as senior high school. Additionally, it has been clarified that the goal of this curriculum is to give students sufficient technical competency so they will be ready for postsecondary education, the workforce, and entrepreneurship. Immersion in the workplace is thus part of the curriculum.
Cruz (2015) defines that work immersion is part of the SHS curriculum in which students participate in a practical experience replicating a natural on-the-job environment. In any case, the idea that work immersion needs to be more specific to target the essential competencies required to be developed in a student was encouraged similarly for the Accountancy, Business, and Management strand at SHS, where distinct strands focus on various relevant courses. As a result, the topic of substituting business enterprise simulation for work immersion for ABM students arose. This is considered a fantastic opportunity for the students, as their objective is to be involved in business and marketing. Because of this, during the training, one's prior knowledge can be enhanced by acting as a consumer, a business owner, *A Business Owner
A business owner is comparable to a writer of a book who supervises the work of others by simply reading the preface. A business owner must manage various tasks, from planning to resolving management problems, even though they may seem unachievable to others. For this reason, training is essential before taking any such action. The phrase "risk-free learning and coping with uncertainty" ranks highest among the arguments made by Jakab in a 2011 article about the benefits of using business simulations as teaching aids. Simply put, it means that students can attempt, despite their reservations, to determine the outcome of their choices thanks to business simulation. With it, they can evaluate their decisions, from the company's founding to its day-to-day operations, and move forward with more informed choices. Being a business owner will always involve challenges and setbacks, but the basis of the company is indestructible because of the lessons learned from them.
*A Customer and an Employee
Whether they are adults shopping in boutiques or children purchasing candies in stores, everyone is a consumer. While some people may not have given much thought to their purchases in the past, as people age, they come to value quality above quantity. Self-examination is one way to grasp this tactic but can be enhanced with sufficient information and concepts. Their involvement in the setup, maintenance, and operations of the business puts their strength, endurance, and commitment to work to the test, and this helps the students develop into employees. Therefore, mastery of both can be attained, which they can apply to everyday life as purchasing is a part of who we are, just as getting a job is a part of our plans as students.

As its name suggests, ABM is a strand that focuses on courses about accountancy, business, and management. Students who are partial to the strand typically have a plan for their college courses. Still, others have limited options, like being a business personality alone without specifying the kind of firm to work with. And with that said, business simulation serves its intended purpose. According to a 2016 Sponge insight, business simulation aims to put participants in scenarios they would face at work. Therefore, by participating in the training and witnessing the results of their choices, including how resources are used and profits are made, students can broaden their viewpoints. As a result, the student who aspires to be a business personality will be able to recognize his true objective in the field by reviewing the location, target market, and current trends that should be taken into account before starting a business, positioning him as a future industry icon.
Gaining knowledge and skills through first-hand experiences is accomplished through business enterprise simulation. Students experience scenarios that resemble those they might encounter at work through "learning by doing." Given the opportunity to simultaneously assume the roles of employee, business owner, astute consumer, and aspiring business personality, they can align their talents for more excellent prospects. The lessons they learn from this experience will help them make decisions that will be effective and profitable in the future. True enough, the experience will always be a fantastic instructor whether or not ABM kids are involved. Education does help learners realize their dreams and cultivate their hopes for the future.
