EMPOWERING EDUCATORS FOR 21ST CENTURY LEARNING
JESUSA NANETTE E. PASCUAL
One of the key strategies in empowering educators is through continuous professional development. As part of my role, as the Head Teacher of the Araling Panlipunan Department, along with our Master Teacher and School Principal, conduct classroom observations every quarter. These observations serve as a platform for feedback and reflection, enabling teachers to identify their strengths and areas for improvement. By providing constructive feedback and encouraging teachers to share their best practices, we foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement. Additionally, we organize regular training and workshops on various aspects of 21st-century learning, such as integrating technology in the classroom, promoting critical thinking, and developing collaborative learning environments. However, empowering educators goes beyond professional development. It also involves creating a supportive and collaborative environment where teachers feel valued and respected. As the head of the department, I strive to foster a sense of community among our educators, promoting open communication, mutual respect, and collective decision-making. By empowering our educators, we not only enhance their teaching practices but also inspire them to nurture the minds and hearts of our students, paving the way for a brighter and more inclusive future. Together, let us continue to champion 21st-century learning, empowering our educators to cultivate a generation of learners who are ready to take on the challenges and opportunities of the 21st century.
