MODERN TEACHING - TRADITIONAL TEACHING

RUTCHEL M. MORALES

What exactly is traditional teaching? According to research by IGI Global Publishing House, traditional teaching the teacher is the controller of the learning environment. Power and responsibility are held by the teachers, and they play the role of instructor (in form of lectures) and decision maker (regarding curriculum content and specific outcomes. Traditional teaching methods focused on the teacher as the only source of information in the classroom. It embraces the idea of a teacher-centered method involving face-to-face interaction, mainly from the teacher to the student.

I'm not new to the teaching industry, I've also somehow experienced what they call traditional teaching. I have experienced the making of various devices that will be drawn on cardboard and cut out, or even color the pictures. Write important details about the lesson to be taught on the flipchart and then explain it to the learners. And if there are books that can be used, the activities of that day will be copied. I still remember the hearsay of other teachers when I was just a student. Get your book and copy the lecture on page__ to page _. But now that I am a teacher, I have experienced how to teach traditionally. That's right, the teacher is the facilitator of all learning; all knowledge will come from you. The type, you're the one who gives, you're the one who serves, they'll just swallow the knowledge you want to share with them.

What is Modern teaching? The modern teaching method is a learner-centered and activity-based teaching method which is used to get learners fully involved. This approach recognizes the learner as the primary reason for curriculum planning and teaching. (by: Igi-global.com)

Here in modern teaching where we are in modern times, we are surrounded by various gadgets that can help us in our teaching. It becomes easier for us to teach and communicate. We can now choose more beautiful, colorful, and suitable devices to arouse the learners' interest. We get more students' interest because of technology. But above all, modern teaching is focused on learning for learners. For them, learning almost revolves around. As if they are the ones who facilitate learning. They are involved. Letting the learner experience what the lesson is, not just what the teacher will teach, and they will just remember it.

And that is traditional teaching and modern teaching. For me, whatever it is, as long as our learners are learning, there is probably nothing wrong with it. as a teacher, we have only one aspiration wherever it is in the world, our main reason why we exist in this world and our main duty is to teach every learner to the best that we can. Without hesitation, questions and complains. We share our learners our time, effort, love, and care.

“We are pursuing economic projects that advance our shared objectives: promoting broad-based and sustainable economic growth, and investing in resilient, reliable, and diversified supply chains,” the three leaders said.

“We support the continued progress of the Indo-Pacific Economic Framework for Prosperity (IPEF) to advance resilience, sustainability, inclusiveness, economic growth, fairness, and competitiveness for our economies and the broader region,” they added.

Technology development

The three leaders also bared their plan to seize cutting-edge technological opportunities, as they looked forward to holding the first trilateral Cyber and Digital Dialogue this year to explore additional cooperation opportunities.

The United States, subject to Congressional notification, and Japan, with support from Japanese industry, expressed their intent to provide at least USD8 million for Open Radio Access Network (RAN) field trials and the Asia Open RAN Academy based in Mani l a.

The plan aims to enable future commercial deployment and an open, interoperable, secure, reliable, and trusted information communications technology ecosystem in the Philippi nes.

“This builds on prior US and Japanese investment of over USD9 million for these projects in the Philippines. The government of Japan is also seriously considering further investments for the potential commercial deployment of Open RAN technology in the Philippines, including from the Global South Future-Oriented Co-Creation Project,” according to the joint statement .

“The United States and Japan welcome the Philippines’ plan to pilot Open RAN in its national broadband program and free Wi-Fi project. The United States and Japan commend the

Philippines’ commitment to develop a national Open RAN policy framework, reaffirming the Philippines’endorsement of open, interoperable, and trusted architectures,” it added.

Based on the joint statement, there was also a plan to pursue a new semiconductor workforce development initiative, which seeks to give Filipino students a “world-class training” at leading American and Japanese universities to help secure the three nations’semiconductor supply chains.

The initiative complements the expansion of semiconductor investments in the Philippines that would strengthen supply chain resiliency among the three nations. (PNA)
