Journalism is the creation and dissemination of reports on the interaction of events, facts, ideas, and people that constitute the "news of the day" and enlighten society to degree of truth. The word, a noun, refers to the occupation (professional or not), the ways of obtaining information, and the organization of literary genres. It is particularly important because it provides a platform for students to express their ideas and concerns while also impacting the campus atmosphere. Furthermore, campus journalism offers direct professional preparation for student journalists, providing them with the necessary skills for the workplace. Fortunately, I train the students at Masantol Elementary School. The task assigned to me was difficult because I was the first person to manage Filipino Radio Broadcasting. With the assistance of teachers and the students who participated, we formed a group. Grade 6 students were my priority at the time because they were more mature enough to take on the role. We do not have enough time for consistent practice because of activities and schedule changes due to unanticipated crises. At first, I considered quitting since I knew the time was insufficient to achieve the greatest results. However, the students are enthusiastic in pursuing. We constantly strive to bring pride to our school. Our principal is generous enough to supply the things we require. Finally, we are one of the participants at the sectorial level because we are the champion at district level. We are seven participants from different schools, including private. Participants from other schools are obviously competitive with their performance. As a coach, I know that they are more prepared than us.Although we also have practice, they are really good. After the contest, winners from different school’s 1st Laverdad,2nd San Vicente Ferrer,3rd Sta.Maria Elementary School, and luckily Masantol Elementary School got fourth place out of seven contestants. It is truly amazing to be a part of such an event. It is a remarkable experience for the students, such as me as a coach. Our school principal congratulated everyone on placing fourth in the Filipino Radio Broadcasting Sectorial Pres Conference 2024 in Masantol North District. The effort has paid off and sacrifices have been rewarded.
