When the pandemic hits the Philippines, there were plenty of changes happens in the life style of many Filipinos. And classroom set up is one of those changes. Since the Department of Education move the Beginning of School Year. The school calendar from the past after the pandemic falls on summer. Nowadays, some of our school facilities are having trouble on how to conduct and cater quality teaching and education to learners.

Several classrooms are suffering from too much heat cause by the summer season. Some of our learners cannot actually focus on their lessons and activities due to hot weather. Some learners are also having headache, cough and colds, fever and other related sickness due to hot weather.

Local authorities and some educators were forced to send some learners home in the afternoon and have a modular distance learning and other learning modalities so that their education will not be at risk. Parents and other family members are back in tutoring, mentoring and teaching their sons and daughter, siblings and family member. The teachers are guiding their learners thru messengers and other ways of communication to perfectly assist their learners even though their at home. Teachers are also sending school activities to their learners thru photo copies and messengers. Both teachers, parents and learners are working hand-in-hand to break the barriers towards learning. This week many areas experience over 40*c resulting in many class suspensions.

Extreme heat makes our learners to concentrate in the classroom and as well as to put their health at risk. We need to work as one and work harder and smarter to avoid the

risk of our students health, safety and well -being be at risk. -oOo-
