ANG Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Field Office VII nihatag og oryentasyon sa partner agencies bahin sa iyang pilot project nga gitawag og Strengthening and Empowerment of Overseas Filipino Workers (OFW) Families Towards Preservation sa siyudad sa Sugbo.
Si John S. Calidguid, Project Development Officer III, Social Technology Bureau (STB) sa Central Office nipresentar sa guidelines sa proyekto ug Memorandum of Agreement alang sa Local Government Units (pilot areas) ug Terms of Reference alang sa OFW facilitators.
Si Patria Ana Y. Quines, Social Welfare Officer III, nituki sa mga termino nga basihanan ug bahin sa he memorandum of agreement alang sa Regional Inter-Agency Committee on Migration and Development.
Sila si DSWD Director Ma. Evelyn B. Macapobre, DOLE Director Exequiel Sarcauga, ug NEDA Director Efren Carreon ningtmabong sa kalihokan.
Lakip kini sa representante sa DepEd, CHED, POEA, OWWA, POPCOM, DOH, TESDA, DILG, ug Public Employment Services Office ug Local Social Welfare and Development Office sa probinsiya sa Sugbo ug dakbayan sa Sugbo, Daanbantayan, ug DSWD workers kabahin sa oryentasyon.
“Our mandate as members of the inter-agency body is to serve the families of the OFWs. We do not only deal with their material needs but most importantly the relationship and psychosocial needs of the families,” matod ni Director Macapobre sa iyang pakigpulong atol oryantasyon.
Ang OFW families girepresentahan sa upat ka mga pamilya gikan sa Sugbo ug Daanbatayan.
Ang maong mga LGU mao ang pilot areas alang sa proyekto.
Ang matag LGU dunay 50 ka pamilyang benepisaryo ug dunay mokabat sa 100 ka mga pamilya ang makabenepisyo sa rehiyon.
