Mangasdang ang Phoenix Fuel Life-University of Cebu (UC) Webmasters ug Mair Construction-Southwestern University (SWU) Phinma Cobras sa Bayugan City, Agusan del Sur alang sa 8th Mayor Kim Lope A. Asis Invitational Basketball Tournament nga gikatakda karong Hunyo 26-29 sa Lope Asis Memorial Gymnasium.
Ang torneyo nagsilbeng tipik sa preparasyon sa Webmasters ug Cobras alang sa umaabot nga 2018 Cebu Schools Athletic Foundation Inc. (CESAFI).
Ang duha ka teams sa Sugbo nahilakip sa unom ka teams nga mokombati sa kompetisyon nga apil sa kasaulogan sa 11th Charter Day sa Bayugan ug Bayug Festival celebration.
“For the past eight years, it has been customary for us to treat our constituents with a very exciting and highly entertaining basketball action to make our Charter Day and Bayug Festival celebration more memorable and meaningful,” opisyal nga pamahayag ni Bayugan Mayor Kim Lope Asis nga gipaagi sa press release.
Mapasigarbuon si Asis nga makonsiderar kining labing dakong sporting event dili lang sa ilang dakbayan kon dili hasta sa tibuok Mindanao.

Tomas (UST) Growling Tigers, Madyaw Construction-National University (NU) Bulldogs, ARQ Builders-Lyceum Polytechnic University (LPU) Pirates sa Manila ug Greene Builders/Xavier University-Ateneo de Cagayan Crusaders.
Ang partisipanteng teams bahinon sa duha ka mga grupo alang sa elimination round.
Ang mopatigbabaw nga duha sa matag grupo human sa single round robin mao ang makaabante sa crossover semi-finals.
Ang mga modaog sa semis mao ang magsangka sa knockout championship game samtang ang mga mapilde mao ang mag-ilog sa ikatulong dapit.
