Kapin sa 4 mil ka mga sakop sa LGBT group ang ning-apil sa labing unang Gay Pride Parada sa dakbayan sa Mandaue niadtong Dominggo sa sayong gabii. Kini nga hulagway usa lang sa mga mabulukon ug alegre nga grupo nga nihatag og pasundayag.
Sobra sa 4,000 ka mga tawo ang nisalmot sa unang Mandaue Pride March nga gisugdan sa city hall grounds niadtong Dominggo sa gabie.
Bisan si Mandaue City Mayor Luigi Quisumbing, kinsa mitambong sa Pride March, wa magdahom sa dasok sa mga tawo nga nitambong ilabi na sa mga miyembro sa Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender (LGBT) community.
Kapin sa 30 ka mga grupo sa LGBT community sa nagkadaiyang dapit sa Metro Cebu ang mitambong sa maong kalihukan.
Laing mayor nga nipakita og suporta sa LGBT community ug niwarawara pa og rainbow flag mao si Lapu-Lapu City Mayor Paz Radaza kinsa nikuyog sa mga delegado gikan sa iyang dakbayan.
“Isn’t it beautiful when everybody is allowed to be themselves? The Mandaue Pride March really showed that what brings us strength is our own individualism brought together in service of the community. And we saw in the Pride March so many different talents, so much enthusiasm and so much energy to celebrate diversity and equality. I am very humbled and very honored that the LGBTQ community in Metro Cebu chose Mandaue to be its area for the first Pride Parade,” ni Quisumbing sa mga tigbalita.
