UC mihatag og libre nga arts class sa Santander
Ang mga tinun-an sa University of Cebu (UC) – Main Campus sa Art Appreciation and Philippine Literature ni Prof. Gianne Rensen V. Antonio nipahigayon og community-based arts education program sa dul-an sa 100 ka mga tinun-an sa elementarya sa Pasil, Santander, Sugbo niadtong Oktubre 13, 2018.
Ang tema: “Youth in the Arts: Engagement and Development,” natutok sa pagbansay sa fine ug visual arts (Painting, Sculpture, and Photography), performing arts (music and dance), ug literary ug dramatic arts.
Ang lecture-demonstrations gitumong sa paghatag og opurtunidad sa mga bata sa pagpakita sa ilang talento, pagdasig ug interes sa disiplina sa arte.
Si Engr. Leo Bajuyo, usa ka barangay councilor sa Pasil, nipadayag sa iyang pagpasalamat sa University of Cebu sa pagpili sa ilang ba- rangay isip benepisaryo.
“More than the free school supplies and snacks that you have given, it is the long-lasting impact of learning and appreciating the arts that truly educate our children. On behalf of the parents, thank you for teaching the values of creativity, efficiency and teamwork that will make our children fully developed professionals and highly engaged citizens in the future,” matod ni Bajuyo.
Pipila sa mga tinun-an nga sila si Paulo Matilos ug Keisha Tudlas ningpadayag usab sa ilang kaliay nga gihatag og kahigayonan sa pagdayag sa arte diin nagpasalamat sila sa Arts teachers.
Nagpasalamat sila sa UC uban sa ilang professor nga nipili kanila nga benepisaryo sa programa nga giorganisar alang sa mga tinun-an sa hilit o layo nga dapit nga makasinasiti sa kinabuhi sa pagtuon sa kolehiyo.
Si Prof. Antonio nagkanayon usab nga “When we teach, we learn more. When we give, we receive more. The greatest lesson of any art form is its impact. What we have shared together today had a great impact to all of us here. Let’s not stop here.”
