-

“It was so special. It was overwhelmingly emotional for me as

pagduaw sa Pilipinas, “I haven’t been here since 14 years ago and my memory of the Philippines has always been family, the beaches I grew up with my family in Zambales. So this is just life-changing for me. It’s a dream come true.”

“It’s such a crazy story. I was actually in university, I was focusing my life on academics. You know I was only 18 at that time. I was taking a law degree. But I’ve

always been (doing vocal) training as a young kid.”

“And then I got to meet Cameron Mackintosh and he said to me, ‘All you need to do is be yourself because you’re Kim.”

“You know it’s such an iconic role and, as she said, there have been so many interpretations of Kim. So I always come to this role with grace and sense of gratitude, knowing that this is a really vital role and I have to bring a sense of justice to my character.” /
