It was in 1997 when its founders thought to create a line of home accessories featuring items that are elegant, exotic, refined, and casual. Their knowledge on product development, strong retail buying experience, and marketing expertise allowed them to develop the business that presently offers over 5,000 unique home items created by skilled artisans from all over the world. Some of these include hand-blown glass from Poland, detailed ceramics from Italy and Portugal, exotic wood from Vietnam and India, artisan crafted metal from Vietnam, and handmade textiles and nickel products from India.

Global Views in Shangri-La at The Fort features various product lines from Barbara Barry, The Roger Thomas Collection, Julia Buckingham, Williamsburg Collection, Studio|A Home, MCFCHAN Collections, and Dwell Studio. Its assortment of fine-looking home accessories and accents will add more appeal to any house, whether it is a traditional Filipino home or a more modern and contemporary type. Many local and foreign interior designers and retailers trust Global Views to decorate home with its individualistic items that range from furniture, accessories, lighting, textiles, wall décor, and more.

One of the notable collections is by Barbara Barry, who is recognised for her streamlined interiors and fine home furnishings, and has formed partnerships with internationally renowned companies. This creative individual grew up in a family of painters and she draws her artistic inspirations from nature, as evident in her creations that reflect the colors and forms. The new Barbara Barry for Global Views collection showcases simple yet versatile modern pieces. Its bleached walnut wall clock, for instance, is complemented by warm bronze details. The items in this collection have a clean look—from the soft curve vases,

to the nesting trays, and even the stack jewelry box. It is all about the luxury of quiet comfort. Her collection is displayed in select shops and design centres worldwide.

In 2005, Global Views founded Studio|A Home to provide stylishly handcrafted items from the various parts of the globe. In this age of mass consumerism, it hopes to deliver a piece of history and meaning with every product it offers. This particular collection includes a mix of organic pieces with cutting-edge design using unexpected materials and handcrafted finishes. Some of the noteworthy items are the Adelaide desk, Brentwood media cabinet, Eiffel loveseat, and Alexandria Pendant Light. What is common among these pieces is that these have simple silhouettes and designs that will stand the test of time, but are unique enough to transform any interior.

One personality known for his iconic interiors is Roger Thomas, a leader in hospitality design who worked on the Bellagio, Wynn Las Vegas, Encore at Wynn Las Vegas, Wynn Macau, and Encore Macau. “I have always been finding inspiration, developing ideas, and creating drawings which have now been executed by the Studio A Home team,” says the Executive Vice President of Design for Wynn Design & Development. “It is such an opportunity to transform and innovate the classic silhouettes and proportions I have always been attracted to.” The Roger Thomas Collection for Studio|A Home features one-of-a-kind sculptures, antique brass lamps, and other attractive home accents that blend traditional design with a modern twist.

Trend meets tradition in the Williamsburg Collection. Its furnishings and home décor draw inspiration from the 18th century—particularly the remarkable antiques, rare books, and architectural details found in the collections of The Colonial Williamsburg Foundation. Aside from improving interiors, the purchase of Williamsburg products supports the education, preservation, and citizenship missions of the non-profit Colonial Williamsburg Foundation.

For a mix of vintage and new, there is Julia Buckingham’s collection called Modernique. Her eclectic style reflects her affection for both antique and modern design and it visibly translates to her spirited collection of decorative accessories, furniture accents, tabletop décor, lighting, rugs, and pillows. Her distinct style flaunts her confident use of colors with interesting textures and materials to create pieces that are both sophisticated and whimsical.

With such outstanding design pieces, it now becomes easy to enhance a living space, especially with Global Views’ 100 per cent in-house design sourcing from around the globe. It has a wide range of products that are not only decorative, but environmentally friendly as well since these are made of natural materials and use recyclable packaging. This is a brand that truly redefines lifestyle.
