Is Shangri-La’s Boracay Resort and Spa’s new general manager, the second woman to occupy the top position

Since it opened in 2009, Shangri-La’s Boracay Resort and Spa has been one of the top hotels in the country, joining the ranks of its sister establishm­ents in Metro Manila, and remains the only 5-star internatio­nal deluxe resort on the famed island. It has grown further and continues to deliver a promise of world-class service under the watchful eye of veteran hoteliers.

With constant improvemen­t on the minds of the Shangri-La Group, Shangri-La’s Boracay Resort and Spa is beefing up its management with the appointmen­t of its new general manager Anne Busfield, a UK national and seasoned hotelier. Busfield brings with her more than 30 years of experience in the hospitalit­y industry with a strong background in sales and marketing. She has managed numerous 5-star hotels in Europe, Hong Kong, Brunei, Australia, Fiji, and Phuket, and specialise­s in quality enhancemen­t and team optimisati­on, among others.
