The French maison partnered with automaton maker extraordinaire François Junod and some 20 workshops and artisans, including lapidaries, jewellers, stone-setters, enamellers, and cabinetmakers to produce this masterpiece, which took eight years to complete. Combining a retrograde hour display and animation on demand, a whimsical 50-second show begins with the rippling of the water lily, followed by melodic chimes that signal the flower to bloom. The bejewelled fairy then wakes and admires a gem-set butterfly, which rises into the air and flaps its wings. A unique piece.

This table clock features a Lalique crystal case that houses a pocket watch with a minute repeater. Its delicate engravings depict the myth of Arethusa, who was turned into a fountain by the goddess Artemis to help her flee from a lovestruck god. A unique piece.
