- By MARS W. MOSQUEDA, JR.

CEBU CITY – The family of road rage suspect David Lim Jr. is offering up to ₱300,000 to those who can produce the complete video footage of the incident that led to Lim’s shooting of a 33-year-old nurse.

This was announced by Lim’s lawyer, Orlando Salatandre Jr., who claimed the dash cam video of the incident that went viral was incomplete and did not show how his client was allegedly attacked first by the victim, Ephraim Nuñal.

"Present the full video...while my client was driving, two cars tailing him kept honking their horns, prompting my client to stop his car and confront the victim and his two companions. A brawl ensued," Salatandre told reporters.

The dash cam video provided by the Homicide Section of the Cebu City Police Office (CCPO) showed how Lim tried to punch Nuñal. The victim, however, managed to evade the attack, prompting the suspect to get back into his car and went back out carrying a caliber .22 pistol.

Lim, nephew businessman Peter Lim, then shot the Nuñal several times, hitting the victim on the left thigh and right ankle.

While waiting for appropriate charges to be filed against him, Lim spent the entire night behind bars instead of staying at the air-conditioned room at the Police Regional Office (PRO) 7. However, critics continue to slam the police’s alleged special treatment on the suspect.

It was reportedly Secretary Bong Go who informed the PRO 7 that Lim was going to surrender last Tuesday.
