- By JEL SANTOS

A 61-year-old man was found dead with multiple knife wounds in front of the house of one of his alleged girlfriends in Barangay Muzon, Malabon City, yesterday morning, four days after he went missing, according to police report.

Police said the body of Reynaldo “Boy” Bautista, of Barangay Muzon, Malabon, was wrapped with blue plastic bag and packaging tape when discovered at about 5 a.m. in front of a house owned by his alleged paramour.

According to Malabon Police chief Senior Supt. John Chua, the victim was allegedly having illicit affairs with various women before he went missing.

Chua said jealousy could be the motive behind the killing.

Probers said severe wounds sustained by Baustista indicate that his killer was very angry with him.

A neighbor, who asked not to be named, said Bautista’s latest woman also has illicit affairs with other men.

The woman, who is married to an overseas Filipino worker based in Saudi Arabia, was brought to the police headquarters for interrogation.

Chua said they have already identified the suspect but refused to name him pending his arrest.

“The victim is allegedly involved in an illicit affair. We now have a lead, but we can’t sill reveal his identity because we are currently conducting a follow-up operation,” Chua said.
