Rody: Leni, Trillanes, De Lima united vs me

- (Genalyn D. Kabiling)

What does Vice President Leni G. Robredo have something in common with Senators Antonio F. Trillanes IV and Leila M. de Lima?

As far as President Duterte is concerned, Robredo and the two senators are united in plotting his ouster from office.

The Chief Executive, however, believes that ousting people was “too early” since the country just concluded the national elections.

“Mag-prangka tayo, they want me ousted. Who’s behind it? Itong si Trillanes. Sundalo, mas mabuti pang security guard dito and his help,” the President said during an assembly of lawyers in Pasay City last Thursday night.

“Sinong isa? Si De Lima. Gusto na niya akong paalisin. Wala naman akong ginawang exhibition. T **** i**,” he said.

“Pangatlo si Leni, eh natural kasi bakit pa siya maghintay kung nandiyan ‘yung opportunity. Barilin na lang iyan si ano,” he added.

The President has frowned on any ouster plots of public officials amid concerns it would cause instability in the country. “Look, guys, ladies and gentlemen, we just had – have had the elections. It’s too early to be of ousting people,” he said.

Despite her alleged involvement in the plot to remove him from power, the President has also opposed any effort to impeach Robredo from office.

He asked anew groups seeking Robredo’s impeachment to respect the mandate of a duly elected public servant especially since the country just concluded its national elections.

“Let Leni… Alam mo hayaan mo siya. She has also to take a stand, I understand that. It’s always the contrapelo ‘yan and that is natural sa politics,” he added.
