The road to perdition
OPE NOT – This columnist hopes that John Lloyd Cruz is not
treading the road to perdition. What a pity if Lloydie loses the support and affection of the public because of the messy scandal he’s currently involved in.
Sure, he’s entitled to a good time, a respite from acting in front of the camera. An interlude with Ellen Adarna. But not to the extent of making a fool himself... for the whole country to see.
Look, Lloydie’s idolized by the public, including teeners and children. And here he is in bizarre situations, looking dirty and unkempt. Was he drunk, stoned?
Will Lloydie waste the fame and fortune he enjoys in the name of having a good time? Will advertisers who value image and goodwill back out? Will people shy away from movies and TV shows he topbills? Hope not. RIGHT MOVE – At 40, Piolo Pascual – in all probability – realizes he can’t always be a romantic lead. In no time, Papa P will be giving way to the young actors of Star Cinema and ABS-CBN.
That’s how it is. As he say, “May kanya-kanyang panahon.”
And so producing movies is the right move. Think of the sleeper “Kita Kita.”
And one thing with Papa P, he isn’t involved in bad publicity. He’s clean living. And it shows in his good looks, in his pleasant aura.
By the way, hope people will stop pressuring Papa P to get married. If he’s happy being single so be it. HERE WE GO AGAIN – Highspeed reader ask why the Luis Manzano Jessy Mendiola tandem isn’t included on the “our love here to stay” list. Blame Luis’ fickle heart. Before Jessy, he was madly in love with Angel Locsin and Jennylyn Mercado. He was ready to get married, making his mom, Vilma Santos, very happy. She’s
excited to have a grandchild, be a lola.
Nothing came out of his “serious” relationships with Angel and Jennylyn. Seemed Luis didn’t (doesn’t) know who or what he wants.
Now, here we go again with Luis proclaiming to the whole world he’s found the girl he wants to marry, Jessy.
Well, hopefully this time Jessy’s really the one Luis will bring to the altar. Let’s wait and see.
