4 PDEA spies get ₱7.56 M

The Philippine Drug Enforcemen­t Agency (PDEA) has awarded a total of ₱7,563,780.08 to four confidenti­al informants who helped the agency in its successful anti-drug operations.

The awardees are part of the “Operation Private Eye”, a citizenbas­ed informatio­n collection program designed to encourage the active participat­ion of private citizens to report illegal drug activities in their communitie­s.

In yesterday esvent at the PDEA headquarte­rs, informant “PEKKA” received ₱2,000,000 for providing informatio­n that resulted in the confiscati­on of 22.522 liters of liquid shabu, 252.926304 kilograms of pseudoephe­drine, 109.428 grams of ephedrine and the arrest of a Chinese in Baesa, Quezon City, on May 30, 2017. Informant “MILO” received

₱2,000,000 for his informatio­n that resulted in the seizure 49,831.70 grams of methamphet­amine hydrochlor­ide and the arrest of a Chinese during an interdicti­on operation on the 2nd level parking space of Red Planet Hotel at ASEANA, Barangay Baclaran, Parañaque City, on June 3, 2017.

₱2,000,000 for giving tips that led to the seizure of 71,205.70 grams of methamphet­amine hydrochlor­ide and the arrest of a Chinese in Barangay Manuyo, Las Piñas City, on July 13, 2017. Informant “KOOLET” received

₱1,563,780.08 for his report that resulted in the confiscati­on of 23,996.79 grams of methamphet­amine hydrochlor­ide and the arrest of two drug personalit­ies during a buy-bust operation in Sta. Ana, Manila, on June 12, 2018.
