The Quezon City Police District yesterday announced the arrest of three suspected big time drug pushers in a buy-bust operation conducted by the District Drug Enforcemen­t Unit, the Guimba Municipal Police Station, the Nueva Ecija Provincial Police Office, and Philippine Drug Enforcemen­t Agency Quezon City District Office in Nueva Ecija and Bulacan Saturday. QCPD director Chief Supt. Guillermo Lorenzo T. Eleazar identified the suspects as Melvin T. Samson, alias “Pogi,” 42, his live-in partner Gerlie C. Santiago, 22, both residents of Barangay Maybubon, Guimba, Nueva Ecija, and Kimberly C. Arzadon, 27, of Purok 5, Upper Bicutan, Taguig City. Eleazar said the couple was arrested in Barangay Maybubon, Guimba, Nueva Ecija, at about 11:30 a.m. Seized from the two suspects were 120 grams of shabu valued at ₱600,000, drug parapherna­lia, and the marked money used in the deal. The couple pinpointed to Arzadon as their supplier. A followup operation was conducted in Calumpit, Bulacan that led to the arrest of the suspect. Seized from her were five big plastic packs containing suspected shabu weighing more or less one kilo with an estimated street value of ₱5 million and the marked money used in the operation.
