Actress may lose driver’s license

The National Capital Region Police Office said yesterday it will support any move to revoke the driver’s license of actress Maria Isabel Lopez for breaching the Association of Southeast Asian Nations lane on EDSA on Saturday which she posted on her social media account.

The selfie and videos of her violating traffic regulations to escape the traffic gridlock which Lopez posted on her Instagram account went viral.

Director Oscar Albayalde, NCRPO chief, said that what the Binibining Pilipinas Universe 1982 titleholder did was not only a glaring violation of traffic rules but also a breach of security being implemented to ensure the safety of world leaders attending the summit.

“A person of her stature should be an example to the Filipino community but she did just the contrary,” said Albayalde.
