Back on the comforts of its home floor, inaugural champion Batangas City vented its ire on Makati City, 72-65, on Tuesday night to put its Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League Anta Datu Cup title campaign back on track at the Batangas City Coliseum.

Humbled by the Bataan Defenders, 81-67, nearly two weeks ago, the Athletics leaned on the clutch exploits of gunner Teytey Teodoro and the inside presence of returning big man Jhaymo Eguilos to hold off the Skyscrapers’ fightback.

Sharing the day’s spotlight with the Athletics were the Caloocan Supremos, who compounded the misery of the struggling Rizal Heroes, 92-80, and returned to their own winning ways.
