Young man gunned down
Motorcycle-riding gunmen shot dead an 18-year-old man in Caloocan City Friday night.
Police said Raymond Ilustrisimo, a Grade 8 student and resident of Camarin, Caloocan City, was the fourth victim shot by armed men on motorbikes within the week.
Investigation showed that Ilustrisimo along with six friends walked around after engaging in a drinking session in Camarin at about 7:40 p.m..
They later saw the two suspects onboard a Black Sky Drive motorcycle at a basketball court just a few steps away from Ilustrisimo’s house.
Jay Ibañez, one of the victim’s companions, reported that the men stared at them one by one, then the backrider drew a firearm and shot Ilustrisimo once in the head.
The motorcycle-riding assailants fled towards Bonifacio St. in Camarin.
Ibañez said one of their friends chased the suspects and shouted “Bakit n’yo binaril tropa ko?” “Bumalik ka na. Umuwi na kayo!,” the backrider answered.
The victim was declared dead on arrival at Jose N. Rodriguez Memorial Hospital.
Estelita Ilustrisimo, the victim’s mother, said her son had no enemies and was not engaged in illegal drug activities.
