Intal eyes return in two weeks

-

JC Intal was happy to watch from the sidelines as his team, the Phoenix Fuel Masters, was able to pick up another win – their third win in the last four games.

He’d be happier to be able to rejoin his team and be part of coach Ariel Vanguardia’s rotation, although he will continue to sit out as he recovers from the bone spurs in his ankle.

“I will be joining the practice on Monday,” Intal told InterAksyon.com in an exclusive interview. “I have a timeline for my return, which is two weeks. Of course, ang kailangan ko is magpakundisyon dahil kundisyon na lahat ng teammates ko eh.”

Intal is one of the vital cogs of the team, averaging 12 points and 5.3 rebounds per game for the Fuel Masters last conference. He was also part of last year’s Gilas Pilipinas team to the 2015 FIBA Asia Championship.

An ankle injury would sideline him for six weeks, though, but luckily, the injury didn’t require surgery.

“I’m continuously doing my rehab,” Intal added.—
