7 nabbed; 52 shabu packs, guns seized in San Fernando buy-bust
Seven persons fell into the hands of the authorities during a buybust operation at Sitio Lacaron, Barangay Pitalo in San Fernando town past 1 a.m. yesterday.
The anti-drug operation conducted by San Fernando Police was led by Senior Inspector Diosdado Malazarte along with the Special Weapons and Tactics and the Regional Public Safety Battalion-7 led by Inspector Emmanuel Rabaya.
Police arrested Junry Montoya, 36, a resident of the same place, who was the subject of the operation.
Seized from Montoya's possession were two small sachets of crystalline substance believed to be shabu and a cal. 38 revolver with five live rounds.
Apart from Montoya, police also arrested his alleged cohorts, namely, John Michael Bayno, 19; Rommel Timtim, 18; Norberto Jabonillo, 34; Celestino Ubay Jr., 30; Jiovanne Caraca, 27; and Junly Alce, 22.
Police also confiscated from their possession a total of 50 small sachets of suspected shabu, a cal. 45 pistol, a cal. 357 revolver with three live rounds, and drug paraphernalia.
The operation stemmed from the information received by the police about the drug peddling in the area allegedly operated by Montoya.
Police said the suspects, however, did not show any signs of aggression during the arrest.
The suspects are now under the custody of San Fernando Police pending the filing of appropriate charges against them for violation of Republic Act 9165 of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
