Verbena Hotel marks 28th anniversary

Verbena Hotel, formerly Verbena Pension House, marked an exciting chapter in its existence when it celebrated 28 years of providing comfortable and affordable accommodation and excellent customer service to travelers.

Verbena's story started from a small eatery that Mrs. Justina T. Urgello put up in 1976. With a meager capital of P1,170, the insightful businesswoman and wife of Engr. Pedro Urgello was able to grow her small business. In 1986, she loaned Php150,000 from the bank which she used to construct a 3 storey lodging house that the community came to know as Verbena Pension House. Twenty eight years later, the small lodging house has metamorphosed into what is now known as Verbena Hotel.
