Bosconian booters sizzle

Don Bosco Technology Center booters flexed their athletic muscles as they dominated their respective divisions of the 14th Thirsty Football Cup yesterday at the Cebu City Sports Center.

DBTC’s Team A clinched the boys 17 over its Team B via penalty shootout, 4-3. Aside from the medals and trophies, the Bosconians also helped the Fr. Clifford’s Foundation as the charity of their choice.

Don Bosco got another 1-2 finish in the mixed under-9 with its Team A defeating Team B, 1-0.

The Bosconians also reigned supreme in the boys 13 at the expense of Tamasak FC, 3-0. Tamasak FC immediatel­y bounced back after winning the under-11 class over San Carlos FC, 1-0.

CNN Dolphins, for its part, ruled the mixed under-7 against Giuseppe FC, but the latter bounced back after winning the girls 19 over Sacred Heart School-Ateneo de Cebu.

Team Outkast powered by former Far Easter University players silenced Afficionad­os de Futbol of Dumaguete City, 3-1, to win the women’s open title. Santa Barbara FC triumphed over St.Theresa’s College, 2-0. —
