Aussie migration expert slates seminar for nurses

An Australian migration expert will be in Cebu next week to invite registered nurses to consider Australia as their overseas job destinatio­n.

Australian registered migration agent Vikram Sharma will conduct an orientatio­n seminar for Cebuano registered nurses on the latest trends in immigratio­n and nursing job opportunit­ies in Australia this March 4, 2017 at the Radisson Blu Hotel.

Dubbed as "The Australia Nursing Career Expo" or ANCE, this event is the second leg of a series of seminars organized for nurses aspiring to achieve global success through internatio­nal education and employment abroad.

ANCE is also open to nursing profession­als and students, with or without experience.

Attendees will be introduced to the job ready programs offered by Lawson College aimed at training overseas nurses for employment in Australia.

“Our aim is the success of our clients. We want to help them achieve their profession­al goals for a global career through skills training. Our goal is to prepare them for future work in Australia or overseas,” said Sharma.

In a recent Social Progress Ranking, Australia is top 5 in 12 countries that offer the highest quality of life in the world.

Three of its major cities are among the most liveable places on Earth according to a 2016 Mercer survey.

More importantl­y, Australia is one of the world’s high paying countries for healthcare profession­als. Nurses in Australia earn as much as 40,000 - 80,000 AUD a year.

The Australian government has also recently announced the increase in demand for nurses, especially highly skilled medical profession­als, as their aging population continues to rise.
