Last March, an Instagram page called District 8 went online and showed the actor posing with former San Juan City vice mayor Francis Zamora, PBA stars James Yap and Marc Pingris, former PBA cager and San Juan councilor Paul Artadi, superstar DJ Ace Ramos, chef Kel Zaguirre and Ayala Land premier senior manager Charlton Yu.

Turns out Daniel and these guys are partners in a new “gastropub” called, yes, District 8. Formally opening in San Juan this July, District 8 is touted as a place “where celebrities, athletes and high¬profile personalities will converge for good food, drinks and music.”

From the looks of it, it seems that even with numerous partners, Daniel is taking a hands¬-on approach in District 8’s operations. The actor posed with Zamora during a foodtasting activity that the latter posted on Facebook just this Thursday.

Meanwhile, Kathryn announced that she will open her own nail salon in Quezon City this month. The actress admitted in several reports that she and her mother had been conceptualizing the salon for the last three years.

Daniel and Kathryn are both very excited about their respective business endeavors even as they continue to be a collective box-office force to be reckoned with. Their last three films, “Crazy Beautiful You” (2015), “Barcelona: A Love Untold” (2016) and their latest, “Can’t Help Falling in Love” have each grossed over P300 million.

The pair is set to return to the small screen via the upcoming primetime series “La Luna Sangre.”—
