-

LaDontae “Buck” Henton will suit up again for the Alaska Aces in the 2017 PBA Governors’ Cup, according to an article posted on the team’s official website.

Henton first played in the PBA in last season’s Governors’ Cup, leading Alaska to the playoffs. The Aces finished with a 6-5 record in the eliminations and had to win four straight to advance to the quarterfinals but bowed to eventual champion Barangay Ginebra.

During his stint with the Aces, Henton averaged 31.9 points,11.8rebounds,1.9assists and 1.3 blocks for theAces.

Alaska is hoping to turn its luck around with Henton in tow after a dismal showing in the Commissioner’s Cup.

The Aces, who closed out the conference with eight straight losses, failed to qualify for the playoffs for the first time since the 2012 Governors’ Cup. It was also the first time the franchise missed the playoffs withAlex Compton at the helm.

Other imports expected to return are Ginebra’s Justin Brownlee, Meralco’s Allen Durham, San Miguel’s Wendell McKines and Phoenix’s Eugene Phelps.

New reinforcements who will be playing in the Governors’ Cup are Trevis Simpson (Blackwater), Jabril Trawick (GlobalPort), Aaron Fuller (NLEX), J.D. Weatherspoon(RainorShine) andMichaelCraig(TNT). —
