KathNiel vs PaulBie in basketball Twitter spat
At the Star Magic All Star Game last weekend, Gerald Anderson showcased his basketball brilliance all game long as he scored a game-high 42 points to lead Team Gerald Blue over Team Daniel Red, 93-90.
Team Gerald controlled the first three quarters of the game through the help of supporting cast, Young JV and JC de Vera, until Ronnie Alonte, Axel Torres and Daniel teamed up for the final attack of the Red Team in the final quarter but fell short.
Ronnie finished the game with the team with 38 points while team captain Daniel scored 16 points, four of the field goals coming from downtown.
JC and Daniel had a small hustle in the third quarter after a rebound play but both players shrugged off the unfortunate play later and cooler heads prevailed.
Meanwhile, another celebrity basketball game involving Daniel will eventually push trough, this time, in a more private one as the Teen King and another Kapamilya actor, Paul Salas, exchanged words on Twitter after the latter had commented: “hahaha. Curry na Curry ba,” pertaining to Daniel. Stephen Curry is the basketball idol of Daniel.
A netizen posted a screen shot of the comment thread of Paul and friends captioned it, “Hi po. I dare Paul Salas and friends to tell these to Daniel’s face. Please RT. Let’s help them find their balls.”
The tweet reached Daniel and friends as well as Paul and his buddies. Daniel tweeted, “Seryoso ba tong mga to?,” then tweeted again directly to Paul: “Ano? Sagot.”
The rumored girlfriend of Paul, Barbie Imperial, also joined the Twitter war to back Salas. Daniel’s love interest and “La Luna Sangre” co-star, Kathryn Bernardo, also joined the social media war, posting a GIF of the NBA two-time MVP Curry. —
