Cebu Governor Hilario Davide III said he already met with Audisti Miguel and confronted him on the matter.

Davide said Miguel denied the allegations and gave another version of the story.

“Bali pud ang iya. He explained to me what actually happened,” said Davide. The rest of the details are yet to be made public.

A copy of the complaint letter addressed to CPRDC officer-in-charge Bobby Legaspi was furnished to Davide last week.

“Nagsulat mi nganha kanimo aron masayod nga dili maayo ang gibuhat sa imong assistant warden,” the letter stated. However, the name of the sender was not written. Only the words “CPDRC guards” was visible at the signature.

According to the sender, Miguel pulled out and cocked his 9MM pistol. He walked furiously in the lobby of CPDRC while shouting he will shoot the guards after they failed to immediately open the gate to let him in.

“Sayod mi Sir Bobby nga walay spot report nga gibuhat. Apan kon i-review nimo ang CCTV camera diha sa lobby or desk officer’s area, ang desk officer mismo maka-testify,” the sender wrote. Moreover, the incident allegedly happened twice: on July 15 and 17.

The letter was also sent to a local radio station, offices of the Vice Governor, Committee on Discipline and Investigation, Provincial Administrator, Ombudsman, and Commission on Human Rights.

Legaspi said that this is the first time that he received a complaint about the assistant warden who’s on his post for two months.

“I knew there was a complaint but I was waiting for a copy from CODI. If that’s true then he’ll have to face the consequences. I just hope that wasn’t true,” he said.

Legaspi said he’ll take a step back and allow the investigation to take its course.
