Tough field in Common Ground 3x3 hoop

A packed field led by PBA D-League standout Macmac Tallo will be competing for bragging rights and cool gifts and prizes as the Common Ground 3x3 Tournament kicks off this Saturday at the Aznar Coliseum.

Backed by premier athletic brands McDavid and Stance, 16 teams composed of four players each are set to duke it out in this dynamic basketball competition, which tips off at 11 in the morning.

However, none is more touted than the team of Tallo called Ball is Life, which is comprised of fellow D-League players James Regalado and Joseph Nalos along with former Southwestern University Phinma big man Bernie Bregondo.

But the casts of contenders for the crown are no slouches, led by recent Under Armour 3x3 champions Team Recover, which is being bannered by former two-time Cesafi MVP Enrico Llanto, Daryle Tan, RJ Acha and Carl Valencia.

Also competing are the University of the Visayas, led by Renz Ortiz, Ivan Maata, Anmar Cosari and Veim Tepait.

Gileant Delator, Melvin Butohan, Christian Bolano and Janner Hassan will be representing the team of Cebu First District Representative Gerald Anthony “Samsam” Gullas.

Team Toyota Mabolo, the core of which won the Red Bull Reign Cebu leg, will also be participating. The team is composed of Jason Chan and former University of San Carlos standouts Mark Panerio, Mike Cantonao and Sam Hermosa.

The rest of the competing teams are Tibur, ASPA Formworks, Tech Experts, Focus, Bounce Back, RMA Cargo Logistics, Lycans, Lycans 2, Code Blue, Team Filoteo and the FVJ Warriors.
