Jessica Zafra Writing Bootcamp in Cebu

-

Those who always wanted to write, but don’t know how to get started. Those who used to write, but haven’t done it in a while, and are feeling rusty. Those who are sort of interested in writing, but are afraid to even admit it.

Those who have started many stories, but ran out of steam. Those who think they can write, but need a second opinion. Those who have a writing project that they’ve been putting off, and just looked at the calendar and realized it’s almost 2018. Or those who simply want to learn the basics of storytelling.

Anyone of those or those who have a friend who is any or all of those and want to give that friend a little push may encourage the guy to join the Jessica Zafra Writing Bootcamp in Cebu on September 16, Saturday, from 1 to 5 p.m. at the Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf, Ebloc2 Branch, at the IT Park. The workshop consists of a series of short lectures, 10-minute writing exercises, and group discussions, brainstorming with Jessica, sharing stories, tips and tricks – all with the objective of starting and finishing one’s writing, whether a short story, a personal essay, or a piece of fan fiction. It doesn't need to be completed on the day, since the workshop will allow for an email consultation with Jessica within two to three weeks after the workshop.

The workshop is under the auspices of the Cebu Literary Festival, the Arts Council of Cebu, East West Cafe, Marco Polo Plaza Cebu, Little Boy Productions, Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf, and Shakey’s. More information is at Cebu Literary Festival’s Facebook page, or those interested may email to cebuliteraryfestival@ gmail.com or contact 0915-445-3049.
