Two indicted for child pornography
The Cebu City Prosecutor's Office has indicted two young women, a 21-year-old and a teenager, for allegedly hiring minors to perform sexually explicit acts and pose naked online.
Deputy City Prosecutor Maria Theresa GalbuganCasiño held for trial Ma. Cherrylove Taboada, 21 and a 17-year-old girl, both residents of Barangay Tisa, Cebu City, after finding probable cause for the crime of qualified trafficking and child pornography.
In its complaint, the Women and Children Protection Center-Visayas Field Unit (WCPC-VFU) alleged that on September 1 it received information that both accused were allegedly engaged in online sexual exploitation of children through live streaming shows.
The WCPC-VFU used a police decoy to serve as customer. The decoy created a Facebook account and got in touch with the accused.
According to the report, Taboada told the police decoy that they will send nude sexy photos and sexy videos to him for a fee and that they could also hire minors to do the same. Nude photos of minor girls were sent to the police decoy.
Taboada asked for $40 to $50 dollars as fee and gave instructions to send the money via a remittance service to her 17-year-old accomplice with an address in Barangay Tisa.
On September 9 at 11:10 a.m., the two girls were arrested following an entrapment operation conducted by the WCPC-VFU.
Casiño recommended no bail for either of the accused.
