De La Salle University's Kianna Dy and Kim Fajardo started the Cargo Movers onslaught in the first set that left the CESAFI stars scrambling for defense.

Fajardo, the former UAAP MVP, continued her excellent offense in the second set that helped the Cargo Movers survived CESAFI All-Stars’ rally.

In the final set, Mary Joy Baron took over as she led her team’s charge in completing a three-set sweep.

But despite the defeat, the CESAFI spikers still considered themselves as winners after they gave it all and displayed their skills against a more experienced opponents.

CESAFI team captain Therese Ramas and allaround player Dij Rodriguez of SouthwesternPhinma University expressed gratefulness for having the chance to play against the Cargo Movers team.

“It’s like a win for us. We learned a lot from the two matches we played against them. They have the height advantage but we tried our best to match them with teamwork. We only prepared for two weeks and we achieved so much,” said Ramas.

For her part, F2 Logistics star Abby Maraño praised the Cebu players and acknowledge their potentials.

“Maganda yung depensa nila, maganda din yung foundation ng team, syempre sila naman din best players ng Cebu so I guess maganda ang potential ng team at ng players at sana tuloy-tuloy lang paglalaro nila well, college players pa naman sila so madami pa silang matututunan,” said Maraño.

Meanwhile, F2 Logistics President and CEO expressed his admiration for the Cebuano volleyball fans.

“In my second time, masasabi kong masarap maglaro dito. Ibang klase, sobrang intense nang mga fans dito sa Cebu kaya ang sarap sarap parati maglaro dito kasi grabe ang energy nila,” said Uy. “We would love to come back here.”

Aside from playing against CESAFI stars, F2 Logistics spikers with their coach Ramin De Jesus also conducted a volleyball clinic yesterday involving 72 children from different CESAFI schools at the University of San Jose Recoletos gym.
