DBTC pummels SHS-Ateneo in CESAFI football

-

Don Bosco Technology College booters sent a strong message after they annihilated the SacredHeart School- Ateneo de Cebu, 7-0, in the Cebu Schools Athletic Foundation, Inc. (CESAFI) football tournament at the Cebu City Sports Center yesterday.

After Josh Asignar logged DBTC’s first goal in the 44th, the Bosconians went hot on the second half as they unleashed a scoring onslaught against the undermanned SHS-Ateneo.

Hounded with injuries, SHS-AdC wasn’t able to counter DBTC’s attacks and let them go on a scoring spree with John Clyde Vitualla delivering four goals via the 46th, 49th, 51st, and 53rd.

Asignar added one in the 76th while Erich Raphael Orale sealed the game with a goal on the final minute.

With the win, DBTC claimed the top seed in the secondary boys division with a 2-0 record.

The University of San Carlos-BED boys, for their part, managed to bounce back with a 9-0 win against the University of San JoseRecoletos.

Meanwhile, the first three games in the collegiate level all ended on a draw.

The University of Cebu and the University of the Visayas fought to a 3-all draw, USC and USJ-R settled for a scoreless draw, while UC got another draw, this time, against University of Southern Philippines Foundation, 2-2. —
