Ginebra tries to finish off TNT

Game Today:

- Ginebra TNT

Brace for an even passionate Game 4 of the PBA Governors Cup semifinal series between Barangay Ginebra and TnT Katropa tonight.

Coach Tim Cone said he expects the lone match at the Smart Araneta Coliseum to be even more intense than Friday night's Game 3 as the Kings go for the clincher and outright return berth to the finals and the Katropa trying to stave off elimination and live for another day.

"Stakes are getting higher. Every time there is a game and a series, the stakes are getting higher. It gets more and more emotional," said the champion mentor moments after the Kings took a 2-1 lead in the best-of-five series following a hard-earned 106-103 win.

Cone hopes the defending champions would bring with them the same mindset going to Game 4. After blowing away the Katropa in the series opener, the Kings suddenly let their guards down in Game 2 that allowed TnT to score a runaway 103-96 win to level the semis at one-game apiece.

"I hope we play with emotion in Game 4. We need to play with emotion tonight (Friday), we need to play with emotion in Game 4. We didn't play with emotion in Game 2, so we need to be emotional in Game 4," Cone stressed.

Atthesametime, heexpects the Katropa to come out with fire and try to force a winner-take-all match on Tuesday at the Mall of Asia Arena.

"I'm sure they'll let their emotions (come out) too," said Cone.

A Ginebra victory would forge a rematch between the Kings and the Meralco Bolts for the title of the league's final conference of the season. —
